YOGA FESTIVAL

MEALS
1:30 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. (Dining Room) – Light, vegan/raw lunch

“Ahimsa” is one of the 8 limbs of yoga and speaks to the practice of compassionate non-violence, both to our fellow creatures and ourselves.

What we put in our bodies becomes us. The practice of yoga makes us more aware of the energetic consequences and benefits of the choices we make each day regarding our nutritional choices, both on a physiological level and on our personality and attitudes.

Snacks of vegetables, fruit and nuts, water and tea will be available throughout the day.

The Day Program will include a Simple Vegan Raw Foods lunch of a delicious salad and fruit inspired by recipes from the Ecopolitan Restaurant in Minneapolis.

The Evening Program will include a Simple Vegetarian meal based on dahl & rice which was inspired by the local yoga community. This meal will be dedicated to the Higher Power (“Prasadam”), and as we consume our meals we are encouraged to slow down, be conscious, and be grateful.

Both meals will be hand-crafted from scratch by CHEF from the Holiday Inn with loving attention and care.

During the day, a demonstration of the creation of a raw foods dessert will be presented by Ali Glad of Ecopolitan. This dessert will also be prepared by Chef and be available for a small cost at the event.
